What Hands Should You Not Play in Poker?

In poker, there are a lot of different hands that you can be dealt. But, which hands should you not play? Here is a list of the ten worst starting hands in poker.

1. 2-7 offsuit

This is the worst hand in poker. It is an unpaired hand with the Lowest possible ranking card.

There is no way to make a Straight or Flush with this hand, and your only hope is to get a high card and hope your opponent has a worse hand.

2. 2-8 offsuit

This hand is only slightly better than the 2-7 offsuit. The 8 adds a little bit more to the Straight potential, but it is still not a good hand.

3. 2-9 offsuit

Again, this hand is only slightly better than the 2-8 offsuit. The 9 adds a little bit more to the Straight potential, but it is still not a good hand.

PRO TIP:When playing Poker, it is important to be aware of the hands you should not play. Hands like 2-7 offsuit, 3-8 offsuit, 4-9 offsuit, 5-10 offsuit and 6-J offsuit are all weaker starting hands and should generally be avoided. Additionally, hands like A-2 suited, A-3 suited, A-4 suited, K-2 suited and Q-2 suited are also considered weak starting hands and should generally be folded.

4. 3-7 offsuit

This hand is similar to the 2-7 offsuit, but the 3 gives you a tiny bit more Straight potential. However, this is still not a good hand to play.

5. 3-8 offsuit

This hand is similar to the 3-7 offsuit, but the 8 gives you a tiny bit more Straight potential.

6. 3-9 offsuit

This hand is similar to the 3-8 offsuit, but the 9 gives you a tiny bit more Straight potential.

7. 4-7 offsuit
This hand is similar to the 3-7 offsuit, but the 4 gives you a tiny bit more Straight potential.

8. 4-8 offsuit This hand is similar to the 4-7 offsuit, but the 8 gives you a tiny bit more Straight potential.
