The Ute Mountain Casino in Towaoc, Colorado reopened on May 15th, 2020 after being closed for over two months due to the coronavirus pandemic. The casino had originally planned to reopen on May 1st but pushed back the date due to the ongoing pandemic.

The casino is now operating at 50% capacity with strict social distancing and sanitation protocols in place. Guests are required to wear masks and have their temperature taken before entering the casino.

The Ute Mountain Casino is owned and operated by the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, who also own and operate the Sky Ute Casino Resort in Ignacio, Colorado. The tribe has been hit hard by the pandemic, with both casinos closed since March.
