As the nation continues to grapple with COVID-19, many businesses have been forced to adapt in order to stay afloat. Oregon’s Three Rivers Casino is no exception.
The casino, located in Florence, reopened its doors on September 9th with a number of new safety protocols in place, including mandatory masks for all guests and employees.
The decision to require masks at the casino was not made lightly. After consulting with health experts and reviewing CDC guidelines, casino management felt that mandating masks was the best way to keep guests and employees safe.
“We want our guests to feel comfortable and confident when they visit us,” said Three Rivers General Manager Kevin Van Camp. “We believe that requiring masks is the best way to do that.”.
Of course, not everyone agrees with the decision to require masks at the casino. Some guests have expressed frustration with the mandate, arguing that it interferes with their ability to enjoy themselves.
Others have simply refused to comply, leading to confrontations with casino staff.
Despite the challenges, Van Camp remains committed to keeping guests and employees safe. “We understand that mandating masks may not be popular with everyone, but it’s a necessary step to ensure the safety of our guests and employees,” he said.
