In order to play blackjack, you first need to buy some chips from the cashier. These can be bought with either real money or in-game money.
Once you have your chips, head over to one of the blackjack tables and take a seat.
Now it’s time to start playing. If you’re not familiar with the rules of blackjack, don’t worry – they’re pretty simple. The aim of the game is to beat the dealer by getting as close to 21 as possible without going over.
Cards 2-10 are worth their face value, while aces are worth 1 or 11 (depending on what’s best for you). Jacks, queens and kings are all worth 10.
Once everyone has placed their bets, the dealer will deal out two cards to each player and two to themselves. One of the dealer’s cards will be face up so everyone can see it, while the other remains hidden.
If your two cards add up to 21 (an ‘instant win’), this is called blackjack and you will automatically be paid out 1.5 times your original bet.
If not, you can choose to ‘hit’ and receive another card from the dealer, or ‘stand’ and stick with what you have. You can hit as many times as you like until you either go over 21 (bust) or decide to stand.
Once everyone has had their turn, it’s time for the dealer to reveal their hidden card. If their total is lower than yours, you will win whatever you betted originally.
If their total is higher than yours, or they also have blackjack, then you will lose your bet. If both of you have the same total then it’s a ‘push’ and your original bet is returned to you.
