Does Microsoft Have Poker?

Microsoft is no stranger to the world of poker. The company has been involved in the development of several poker games over the years, including Microsoft Poker, which was released in 1998.

However, Microsoft has never released a dedicated poker game for its Xbox console.

That could be about to change, as a recent patent filing from the company suggests that it is working on a poker game for the Xbox One. The patent, which was filed in March of this year, is for a “System and method for playing a game of cards with real-time feedback”.

PRO TIP:Microsoft does not offer a poker game, but they do have a selection of other card and board game apps available in their online store.

The patent describes a system whereby players would be able to see their opponents’ cards in real-time, as well as receive feedback on their own play. The patent also mentions the use of “augmented reality”, which could be used to display the cards on a table in front of the player.

While there is no guarantee that this patent will result in a new poker game from Microsoft, it does suggest that the company is interested in exploring the possibility. With the popularity of poker games such as Zynga Poker and World Series of Poker, there is definitely a market for such a game on Xbox One.

Only time will tell if Microsoft ultimately decides to develop a poker game for its latest console. However, given the company’s history with the genre, it seems like a safe bet that we will see Microsoft Poker on Xbox One at some point in the future.
