RAM, or random access memory, stores the code and data that your computer is currently using. When you open a program, it loads into RAM.

The more RAM you have, the more programs you can have open at the same time without your computer slowing down.

Cleaning out your RAM slots can be a bit difficult, as they are often tightly packed together. However, with a little patience and care, you can do it yourself.

The first step is to power down your computer and unplug all of the cables. Next, locate the RAM slots on your motherboard.

They will likely be close to the CPU socket.

Once you have found the RAM slots, gently remove the old RAM sticks from the slots. Take note of how they are positioned so that you can put the new sticks in correctly.

Some motherboards have specific requirements for what slot you put each stick of RAM in. Consult your motherboard’s documentation to be sure.

Once the old RAM sticks are out of the way, you can insert the new sticks into the empty slots. Make sure that they are firmly inserted and seated in the slot before moving on.

After you have inserted all of the new RAM sticks into their respective slots, replace any covers that were removed earlier and reattach all of the cables. Finally, power on your computer and enjoy your newly increased RAM!.
