How Do You Bet on American Roulette?

When you bet on American Roulette, the first thing you need to do is choose the type of bet you want to make. There are two main types of bets in American Roulette: inside bets and outside bets.

Inside bets are bets that are made on specific numbers or combinations of numbers. The most common inside bet is a Straight Up bet, which is a bet on a single number.

Other inside bets include Split bets (bets on two adjacent numbers), Street bets (bets on three numbers in a row), Corner bets (bets on four numbers that form a square), and Six Line bets (bets on two adjacent rows of three numbers each).

Outside bets are bets that are made on larger groUPS of numbers. The most common outside bet is a Red/Black bet, which is a bet that the winning number will be red or black.

PRO TIP:When betting on American Roulette, try to stick to even-money bets (e.g. red/black, high/low, odds/evens). These bets provide the lowest house edge and have the highest chances of winning. Avoid single number bets as these have significantly worse odds.

Other outside bets include Odd/Even bets (bets that the winning number will be odd or even), High/Low bets (bets that the winning number will be 1-18 or 19-36), and Column/Dozen bets (bets that the winning number will be in a certain column or dozen).

Once you have chosen the type of bet you want to make, you need to place your chips on the corresponding area of the Roulette table. If you are making an inside bet, you will need to place your chips inside the corresponding numbered area.

If you are making an outside bet, you will need to place your chips outside the numbered area.

After all of the chips have been placed, the dealer will spin the Roulette wheel and drop the ball into it. The ball will eventually come to rest in one of the numbered pockets.

If your bet is successful, you will receive a payout based on the odds of your particular bet.
