How Do You Cut Slots for Cribbage Peg Storage?

If you’re a fan of the card game cribbage, then you know that one of the most important things is having a place to store your pegs. You can buy a board with peg storage built in, or you can make your own.

If you’re going to make your own, you’ll need to cut slots for the pegs. Here’s how to do it.

You’ll need a few supplies before you get started. You’ll need a saw – either a hand saw or an electric one. You’ll also need a drill and some drill bits, a measuring tape, and a pencil. The first step is to mark out where you want the slots to be.

Measure the width of your pegs and then mark out slots that are slightly wider than that. It’s better to have them be too wide than too narrow.

Next, drill holes at the top and bottom of each slot. These holes will be for the saw blade to go through. Now it’s time to start sawing.

Be careful as you saw – you don’t want to damage the board or injure yourself. Cut along the lines that you marked out, making sure that the slots are the right width.

Once all of the slots are cut, it’s time to test them out. Put a peg into each slot and make sure that it fits snugly but not too tightly.

If it’s too loose, the pegs will fall out when you’re playing; if it’s too tight, they’ll be difficult to remove. Once you’re happy with the fit, your peg storage is complete!.
