How Do You Make a Homemade Poker Table?

Whether you’re a poker aficionado or want to be the life of the party at your next game night, having a poker table is a must. But if you don’t want to spend the money on a pre-made table, you can easily make your own. Here’s how:

You will need:

-A large sheet of plywood
-A foam sheet
-Felt or other fabric
-Paint or contact paper (optional)
-Staple gun and staples
-Scissors or a knife
-Ruler or measuring tape

PRO TIP:An easy and efficient way to make a homemade poker table is to begin by purchasing a large foam board. Cut the board into the desired shape of the table, then cover it with felt or other fabric of your choosing. To add stability, attach wooden boards to the bottom of the table. Finally, add poker chips, cards and other accessories to complete your homemade poker table.

Instructions:

1. Start by measuring and cutting your plywood to the desired size. A standard poker table is about 84 inches long and 42 inches wide, but you can adjust these measurements to fit your needs. Keep in mind that you’ll need to add an extra inch or two all the way around for the edge of the table.
2. Cut your foam sheet to the same size as the plywood. You can find foam sheets at most craft stores.
3. Cut your fabric or felt to the same size as the plywood plus two inches all the way around. This will give you enough fabric to wrap around the edge of the table and staple in place.

4. Optional: If you want to add any design details or paint your table, now is the time to do it. Just keep in mind that any paint or contact paper you use will need to be cut to fit as well.
5. Once everything is cut to size, start assembling your table by laying down the foam sheet first, followed by the fabric or felt. Make sure everything is smooth and wrinkle-free before stapling it in place around all four edges of the table. Be sure to pull tight so that there are no bunched up areas. Trim away any excess fabric or foam that extends beyond the edge of the plywood.
6. Your table is now complete! You can add whatever finishing touches you like, such as poker chips, cards, and drinks holders. Now all that’s left to do is invite some friends over and enjoy a game night at home!.
