Blackjack is a popular casino game that can be played with friends. The object of the game is to beat the dealer’s hand by having a higher point total than the dealer, without going over 21.

To start the game, each player must place a bet. The dealer then deals two cards to each player and two cards to themselves, one face up and one face down.

The face up card is called the “up” card and the face down card is called the “hole” card.

The player’s goal is to get a higher point total than the dealer without going over 21. The ace is worth 1 or 11 points, the king, queen, and jack are worth 10 points each, and all other cards are worth their numerical value.

After the initial deal, the player has a few options. Once all players have finished taking their turns, the dealer reveals their hole card and must take more cards until they reach a point total of 17 or higher. If the dealer busts, all players who are still in the game win their bets.
