How Do You Play Double Exposure Blackjack?

Blackjack is a game of skill, strategy and, above all, fun. The object of the game is to beat the dealer’s hand by having a higher total than the dealer without going over 21.

In order to play blackjack, you need a deck of 52 cards. The suits of the cards (hearts, diamonds, spades, clubs) are all equal, but the value of the cards differs.

An ace can count as either 1 or 11, depending on what is best for your hand. All face cards (kings, queens and jacks) count as 10 and all other cards count as their numerical value.

The first thing you need to do is place a bet in the betting circle in front of you. Once all players have placed their bets, the dealer will deal two cards to each player and two to himself (one face up and one face down).

The dealer will always deal himself last.

Once you have your two cards, you need to decide whether to hit (ask for another card) or stand (keep your current total). If you think your hand can beat the dealer’s hand without going over 21, then you would stand.

If you think you need to improve your hand, then you would hit.

If you go over 21 at any point in the game, then you “bust” and automatically lose your bet. If the dealer busts, then all players who are still in the game win their bet.

Once all players have either busted or chosen to stand, it is time for the dealer to reveal his hand. If his hand totals higher than yours, then he wins and you lose your bet.

If his hand is lower than yours, then you win and he loses his bet. If both of your hands have the same total (a “push”), then neither of you wins or loses – your bet just stays where it is for the next round.

Double Exposure Blackjack is a variation of blackjack in which both of the dealer’s cards are dealt face up. This gives players a big advantage as they can see exactly what the dealer has before making their decision on whether to hit or stand.

The main difference between Double Exposure Blackjack and regular blackjack is that there are some different rules when it comes to ties. In regular blackjack, if both the player and dealer have blackjack (a total of 21), it is a push (a tie) and nobody wins or loses.

In Double Exposure Blackjack however, if both the player and dealer have blackjack, it is considered a loss for the player.

Another difference is that in regular blackjack, if the dealer has an ace showing and he offers insurance to players (asking them to bet half their original bet), it is considered a good idea to take him up on his offer as there is a good chance that he has a hidden 10-value card giving him blackjack. In Double Exposure Blackjack however, because both of his cards are showing, there is no need to take insurance as it is very unlikely that he has blackjack.
