How Do You Put Felt on a Poker Table?

If you’ve ever wondered how those beautiful poker tables get their smooth, soft felt surface, wonder no more! Applying felt to a poker table is not as difficult as it may seem, and with a little time and effort, you can have a professional-looking table in no time.

Here’s what you’ll need:

-A poker table
-A piece of felt (You can find this at any fabric store)
-A spray bottle filled with water
-A roller or brayer
-A straight edge (a ruler or yardstick will work)
-A sharp knife or box cutter
-Tape (optional)

First, lay out your felt on a flat surface. If it’s too big to fit on your work table, you can cut it down to size with a sharp knife or box cutter.

Make sure the area you’re working in is well ventilated, as the spray adhesive can be quite strong.

PRO TIP:To ensure your poker table is ready for game night, adhere the felt properly. Start by cutting the felt to fit the table and tucking the edges underneath the sides of the table. Use glue or spray adhesive to stick the felt in place and use a roller or flat object to press it down firmly. Allow at least 24 hours for glue to dry before starting your poker tournament!

Next, position your poker table UPSide down on top of the felt. If you’re using a pre-made poker table top, this will be easy.

If you’re making your own table, you may want to use tape to secure the felt in place.

Once the felt is positioned, use your spray bottle to wet the back of the felt. You want it to be damp, but not soaking wet.

Too much water will make it difficult to work with, and not enough will make the adhesive less effective.

Now comes the fun part! Carefully roll or brush the adhesive onto the back of the felt, making sure to cover the entire surface evenly. Be sure to work quickly, as the adhesive will start to set up quickly.

Once the entire back of the felt is coated, carefully lift it and position it on top of your poker table. Use your hands or a straight edge to smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles. Allow the adhesive to dry completely before using your new poker table!.
