How Do You Use Router Slots in Plywood?

If you’re working with plywood, you may need to use router slots at some point. Here’s a guide on how to do it.

Router slots are used to join two pieces of plywood together. The router bit is inserted into the slot and then the two pieces of plywood are glued together.

This creates a very strong joint that can withstand a lot of force.

There are two different types of router bits that can be used for this process, a spiral bit and a straight bit. The spiral bit will create a stronger joint, but it is more difficult to use.

The straight bit is easier to use but the joint won’t be as strong.

Once you’ve decided which type of bit to use, you need to determine the size of the slot. This is based on the thickness of the plywood and the size of the router bit.

You want the slot to be just big enough for the router bit to fit through without being too loose.

Once you have the size determined, you’re ready to start routing. Place the router on one side of the plywood and start slowly moving it along the edge of the plywood.

Be careful not to go too fast or you could end up with an uneven slot.

Once you’ve reached the other side of the plywood, remove the router and clean up any rough edges with sandpaper. You now have a perfect router slot that’s ready to be used!.
