How Does Blackjack Work in Bo3?

In Blackjack, each player is dealt two cards, face down. The dealer is also dealt two cards, but one of these is face up.

Players then take turns either asking for more cards (“hitting”) or staying with the cards they have (“standing”). The goal is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over (busting).

If the player and dealer have the same point value, it is a “push” and neither player nor dealer wins. If the player goes over 21 (busts), the player loses and the dealer wins automatically.

If the dealer busts, all players who have not busted win.

After all players have either busted or chosen to stand, the dealer reveals his or her hand and hits or stands according to a set of rules known as “house rules.” If the dealer busts, all remaining players win; if the dealer does not bust, all remaining players lose, except for those who tied the dealer. A blackjack occurs when the first two cards dealt to a player total 21 points.

This usually happens when a player is dealt an ace and a ten-point card (10, jack, queen, king). If both the player and dealer have blackjack, it is a push (a tie).
