How Many Additional Deployment Slots Can You Create in Azure?

You can create up to five additional deployment slots in Azure. This allows you to have up to six different versions of your web app running at the same time.

You can use deployment slots to test new versions of your web app before making them live, or to roll back to a previous version if something goes wrong.

Creating additional deployment slots is easy and only takes a few minutes. To do so, simply go to the Azure portal and select the web app that you want to add a deployment slot to.

Then, click on the “Deployment Slots” blade and click on the “+ Add Slot” button.

Give your new deployment slot a name and choose whether you want it to be a clone of your production web app or not. If you choose not to clone it, you will need to configure the web app settings and content manually.

Once you’ve created the deployment slot, you can deploy your web app to it just like you would deploy to your production web app.

Deployment slots are a great way to reduce risk when deploying new versions of your web app. By using them, you can test out new changes in a safe environment before making them live for everyone to see.

Additionally, if something does go wrong, you can quickly roll back to a previous version without affecting your users.
