How Many Blackjack Bombers Does Russia Have?

As of early 2019, the Russian Federation is estimated to have around twenty Tu-22M3 “Backfire” strategic bombers in service. These aircraft are capable of carrying nuclear-tipped cruise missiles and are thus a key part of the Kremlin’s nuclear deterrence posture.
