How Many Gear Slots Are in Wow?

There are 36 gear slots in World of Warcraft. Head, Neck, Shoulders, Back, Chest, Wrists, Hands, Waist, Legs, Feet, Ring 1, Ring 2, Trinket 1, Trinket 2, Main-hand weapon, Off-hand weapon/shield, Ranged/Relic.

These are the slots that appear on your character panel. You can also have up to 3 pets which each take up a slot.

The Head slot is where you place your helmet. The Neck slot is for your neck items such as amulets and cloaks. The Shoulders slot goes over your character’s shoulders. The Back slot is for cloaks and capes. The Chest slot is for your character’s chest armor. The Wrists slot is for your bracers or wristguards.

The Hands slot goes over your character’s gloves. The Waist slot is for belts. The Legs slot is for pants or leggings. The Feet slot goes over your character’s boots.

The Ring 1 and Ring 2 slots are for rings. You can have two rings equipped at a time.

The Trinket 1 and Trinket 2 slots are for miscellaneous items such as charms and pendants. These items can provide special effects or abilities that can be helpful in battle.

The Main-hand weapon and Off-hand weapon/shield slots are for your characters’ weapons. Your main-hand weapon goes in the Main-hand weapon slot and your off-hand weapon or shield goes in the Off-hand weapon/shield slot.

Ranged weapons such as bows and guns go in the Ranged/Relic slot.
