As of October 3, 2019, Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino has been permanently closed. The property will be demolished and replaced with a new resort called The Grand.
The decision to close Buffalo Bill’s was made by the property’s owner, MGM Resorts International. The company decided that the best course of action was to demolish the existing property and start from scratch.

Buffalo Bill’s has been in operation since 1994. The resort is located in Primm, Nevada, about 40 miles southwest of Las Vegas.
It is one of three casinos in the state that are owned by MGM Resorts. .
The closure of Buffalo Bill’s will result in the loss of approximately 1,000 jobs. Most of the employees who worked at the casino will be offered positions at other MGM Resorts properties.
The Grand will be a $650 million dollar resort that is expected to open in late 2020 or early 2021. It will feature a casino, hotel, spa, and convention center.
