Desert Diamond Casino is not on the reservation. It is, however, owned and operated by the Tohono O’odham Nation, which is a federally recognized tribe. The casino is located in Glendale, Arizona, about 20 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix.
The Tohono O’odham Nation purchased the land for the casino in 2003 from the city of Glendale. The tribe has been operating casinos in the Phoenix area since 1993. .
