The history of Harrah’s Las Vegas began with a man named William F. Harrah. He was born in 1904 in Reno, Nevada.

His father was a gambler and his mother was a prostitute. When Harrah was nine years old, his father died and his mother sent him to live with his grandparents.

Harrah dropped out of school in the ninth grade and began working in casinos. He eventually saved enough money to open his own casino in Reno, which he called Harrah’s Club.

The club became very successful and allowed Harrah to open more casinos in other parts of the country.

In 1971, Harrah’s opened its first hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The property was originally known as the Holiday Hotel Casino.

In 1992, it was renamed Harrah’s Las Vegas.

Since its opening, Harrah’s Las Vegas has undergone several renovations and expansions. The most recent renovation occurred in 2010, when the property underwent a $560 million expansion and renovation project that added 1,100 new hotel rooms and a 100,000 square foot casino floor extension.

Despite its long history and success, rumors have been circulating that Harrah’s Las Vegas might be closing its doors for good. These rumors began when Caesars Entertainment Corporation announced that it would be selling the property to an undisclosed buyer for $1 billion.

However, Caesars Entertainment has since denied these rumors and has stated that it has no plans to sell or close Harrah’s Las Vegas. So for now, it appears that the iconic hotel and casino will remain open for business.
