MotorCity Casino Reopened Their Poker Room on March 6….Which Michigan Poker Rooms Are Open Right Now?

MotorCity Casino in Detroit reopened their poker room on March 6, becoming the first of Michigan’s casinos to do so since the state shut them down in November due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The reopening comes as Michigan continues to loosen restrictions that were put in place to stop the spread of the virus.

It’s been a long few months for poker players in Michigan. The state’s casinos were forced to close their doors in November due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving many players without a place to play their favorite game.

But now, there’s finally some good news on the horizon.

PRO TIP:The Michigan Gaming Control Board has approved the reopening of many poker rooms in the state. Currently, MotorCity Casino, MGM Grand Detroit, Greektown Casino, and Four Winds Casino have all reopened their poker rooms. All four of these casinos are located in Detroit.

MotorCity Casino in Detroit reopened their poker room on March 6, becoming the first of Michigan’s casinos to do so since the shutdown.

The poker room at MotorCity Casino is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They are currently operating at 50% capacity, with a maximum of five players per table.

All players and staff are required to wear masks, and tables and chairs are sanitized after each use.
