What Happens if Dealer Gets 2 Aces in Blackjack?

If you are dealt two aces in blackjack, you have a couple of different options. You can either split them and play two separate hands, or you can play them as one hand with a value of 12.

PRO TIP:The dealer will always stand on two aces in Blackjack and cannot hit to receive any additional cards. If the player has 21, the dealer will pay the player 3:2 odds on their bet. A push (tie) is also possible if the player has two aces.

If you split the aces, you will be dealt two more cards to each hand and will play each hand separately. This is usually a good idea because it gives you a better chance to win at least one of the hands.

If you play the aces as one hand, you will only be dealt one more card. This is not always the best option because it leaves you with a very weak hand if the dealer happens to get a high card.
