What Happens if You Bust Blackjack?

In blackjack, one of the most common questions that players have is, “What happens if you bust blackjack?” While this may seem like a simple question, it actually has a few different answers.

If you are playing in a live casino, then the answer is quite simple. If you go over 21, then the dealer will take your chips and you will be out of the game.

If you are playing online, however, things are a bit different.

In online blackjack, there are what are called “push” hands. This means that if you and the dealer both have the same hand total, then your bet is simply returned to you.

It doesn’t matter if you have 21 or not, if the dealer also has 21, then it is a push and no one wins or loses.

Now, if you do bust blackjack in an online game, there are two possible outcomes. The first is that the hand simply ends and you lose your bet. The second outcome is that the hand goes to a “sudden death” situation.

This means that both you and the dealer draw one more card each and whoever has the higher hand total wins the pot. If both of you happen to bust, then the pot is simply split between the two of you.

So, as you can see, there are a few different things that can happen if you bust blackjack in an online game. In a live game, you will simply be out of luck and will have to start over again from scratch.

However, in an online game, there are ways to still win even if you do bust blackjack.
