Casino is a town in the Northern Rivers area of New South Wales, Australia, with a population of 9,129 people at the 2016 census. It lies on the Richmond River and is situated at the junction of the Bruxner Highway and the Summerland Way.

It is located about 500 kilometres (310 mi) north of Sydney and about 600 kilometres (370 mi) south of Brisbane. Casino is the seat of the Richmond Valley Council, a local government area.

The town’s name was selected by surveyor James Warner while surveying the region for Thomas Mitchell in 1835. Warner chose Casino because of its plentiful water, good soil and timber resources.
