Hard Rock Café is the world’s largest chain of theme restaurants, with 188 locations in 58 countries. The first Hard Rock Café (HRC) opened on June 14, 1971, in London, England, and the company is now headquartered in Orlando, Florida.

In 1979, the cafe began covering its walls with rock-and-roll memorabilia, a tradition that continues at most Hard Rock locations today.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City (formerly Trump Taj Mahal) is a casino and hotel on the Boardwalk, owned by Hard Rock International, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States. The casino, originally known as the Trump Taj Mahal, was inaugurated by its then-owner Donald Trump in 1990. It was built at a total cost of nearly $1 billion and originally planned to include six hotels, a shopping mall, and a boardwalk entertainment complex.

The project went bankrupt less than one year after opening and was bought out by Icahn Enterprises in 2016. The property officially reopened as Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City on June 27, 2018.

The property features two hotel towers with a total of 1,399 rooms and suites. The casino offers 160 gambling tables and 3,400 slot machines. Restaurants include Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, Kuro—a Japanese-inspired cuisine restaurant—and Fresh Harvest Buffet.

Nightlife options include the Center Bar, Sound Waves Music Hall—a live music venue with a capacity of 2200 people—and DAER Nightclub—a day/nightclub with a capacity of 4500 people. The property also has a spa and fitness center; an outdoor pool deck with two pools; and retail stores including Hard Rock Memorabilia and Under Armour Brand House.
