What Time Does DFA Appointment Open Slots?

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has announced that appointment slots for passport renewal and application will be opened at 1:00 PM starting February 20.

This is good news for those who have been wanting to renew or apply for a passport but have been having a hard time securing an appointment because of the limited slots available.

The DFA said that the opening of additional slots is due to the “continued improvement” of its online appointment system. It added that it is also opening more passport offices to accommodate more applicants.

To renew or apply for a passport, you may visit the DFA website or any of its regional or satellite offices. The DFA advised applicants to arrive at their appointment venues at least 30 minutes before their scheduled appointments.

Latecomers will not be accommodated.

The DFA also reminded applicants that they should bring all the requirements needed for their application or renewal, as well as the required fees. Passport applicants who are minors should be accompanied by their parents or guardians.

The announcement of additional passport appointment slots is a welcome development for those who have been wanting to renew or apply for a passport but have been having a hard time securing an appointment because of the limited slots available. With the opening of more passport offices and the continued improvement of its online appointment system, the DFA is making it easier for everyone to get their passports.
