The Viejas tribe is a federally recognized tribe of Kumeyaay Indians, located in San Diego County, California. The tribe owns and operates the Viejas Casino and Resort, as well as the Viejas Outlet Center.

The Kumeyaay people have lived in the area for over 10,000 years and were the first people to inhabit San Diego County. The Kumeyaay language is part of the Yuman language family.
The Viejas tribe is governed by a democratically elected Tribal Council. The Tribal Council consists of a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and four Council members.
