What Weapon Is Called a Blackjack?

Blackjack, also called “21,” is a popular casino game that is played with cards. The object of the game is to get a hand closer to 21 than the dealer’s without going over. Blackjack is usually played with one or more standard decks of 52 cards. The player or players are dealt two cards face up. The dealer also deals himself two cards, one face down and one face up. Each player then has the option to “hit” (take another card), “stand” (keep the hand they are dealt), “double” (double their bet and take one more card), “split” (if they have two of the same card they can split their hand into two separate hands with two separate bets), or “surrender” (give up half their bet and end their turn).

If a player “busts” (goes over 21) they automatically lose the hand. Once all players have either busted or chosen to stand, the dealer reveals his face down card and hits or stands according to a set of rules. If the dealer busts, all players who have not already busted automatically win. Otherwise, the player closest to 21 without going over wins.

PRO TIP:A blackjack is a small, easily concealed club-like weapon typically made of a short length of leather-wrapped metal. It is used as a striking weapon, primarily for self-defense and law enforcement purposes. The end of the blackjack is usually weighted with lead shot or sand and designed to deliver a non-lethal but disabling blow.

Blackjack is a popular game because it is easy to learn and provides players with an opportunity to win money. The house edge (the casino’s advantage) in blackjack is relatively low, making it a good bet for players.

However, blackjack is a gambling game and all players should remember that they can lose money by playing.
