When Did Four Winds Casino Reopen?

The Four Winds Casino in South Bend, Indiana reopened on Friday, September 4th, 2020 at 8:00am after being closed for over five months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, who own and operate the casino, made the decision to reopen after consulting with health experts and tribal leadership.

The casino will be operating at 50% capacity to start, with a maximum of 2,000 guests allowed inside at any given time. Guests will be required to wear face masks and have their temperatures checked before entering.

PRO TIP:When the Four Winds Casino re-opened in August 2020, it implemented a number of safety protocols to protect guests and employees, including requiring face masks, temperature checks, and social distancing. Additionally, the casino has limited the number of people inside at any given time.

Additional safety measures include increased cleaning and sanitization protocols, plexiglass barriers at all gaming tables, and hand sanitizer stations throughout the property.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the Pokagon Band is hopeful that the reopening of the Four Winds Casino will help jumpstart the local economy and provide much-needed jobs for tribal members and members of the community.
