When Did Prairie Flower Casino Open?

Prairie Flower Casino is a Native American casino in Carter Lake, Iowa, owned and operated by the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska. It is one of two casinos the tribe owns, the other being Iron Horse Casino in South Dakota.

The casino opened on August 1, 2018. It is located on land that was formerly owned by the city of Carter Lake, which had been annexed by the city of Omaha, Nebraska in 1960.

The casino was developed by Ho-Chunk Gaming, a subsidiary of the Ho-Chunk Nation, which owns and operates casinos in Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Iowa.
