Where Is Epiphone Casino Worn Made?

Epiphone is an American musical instrument manufacturer founded in 1873 by Anastasios Stathopoulos, currently based in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1957, Epiphone, Inc. was purchased by Gibson and relocated from New York to Kalamazoo, Michigan. Epiphone has been owned by Gibson Guitar Corporation since 1957. The Casino was originally introduced in 1961 as a full-size hollow-body with what Epiphone called a “bi-level” body.

The top was flat with two sharp points and the bottom had a single large f-hole. The guitar was designed to compete with the Gibson ES-330 and it quickly became popular with jazz, blues, and rock artists. The Casino is still in production today and is available in both a vintage reissue model and a modern model. The modern model features Epiphone’s Alnico Classic PRO™ pickUPS and a Wilkinson™ Vintage Classic™ tremolo.
