The casino was located on land leased from the tribe by the town of Franklin. The casino operated under a gaming compact between the tribe and the state of Massachusetts.

The compact allowed the tribe to offer Class III gaming, which includes slot machines and table games such as blackjack and roulette.

The casino was originally proposed by the tribe in 2013, but faced opposition from some members of the community who were concerned about increased traffic and crime. The casino ultimately received approval from state and local officials, and broke ground in 2014.

The casino struggled to find its footing in the months after opening, due in part to competition from nearby casinos. In July 2016, the tribe announced that it would be closing the casino due to financial losses.

The closure left approximately 90 employees out of work.

The tribe has not announced any plans for the future of the property, but has indicated that it is interested in developing it for other purposes.
