Where Is the New Emerald Queen Casino?

The Emerald Queen Casino is a Native American casino in Fife, Washington. It is owned and operated by the Puyallup Tribe of Indians.

The casino opened in 1996 and is located on a 56-acre site near the Tacoma Dome.

The Puyallup Tribe has been trying to build a new Emerald Queen Casino for several years. The tribe purchased a property in Tacoma in 2006, but was unable to get the necessary permits to build on it.

In 2012, the tribe purchased a property in Fife that was formerly home to a Kmart store. The tribe has been working with the city of Fife to get the necessary permits to build on the property, but has not yet been successful.

The new Emerald Queen Casino would be twice the size of the current casino, and would include a hotel, convention center, and retail space. It would be located just off of Interstate 5, near the Tacoma Dome Station.

The tribe estimates that the new casino would generate $158 million in economic activity each year.

The Puyallup Tribe is committed to building a new Emerald Queen Casino, but has not yet been successful in getting the necessary permits to do so. The tribe continues to work with the city of Fife and is hopeful that they will be able to break ground on the new casino in the near future.
