In March of 2019, Eldorado Resorts announced that it would be acquiring Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort in West Virginia for $781 million. The transaction was completed in October of 2019.

Eldorado is a gaming and hospitality company that owns and operates properties across the United States. The company has a portfolio of 26 properties, including 22 casinos, four horse racing tracks, and one resort.

The acquisition of Mountaineer Casino expands Eldorado’s presence in the Northeast region of the United States. The property includes a casino with over 1,500 slot machines and 60 table games, a hotel with over 500 rooms, and a live horse racing track.
