Who Owned the Latin Casino?

The Latin Casino (1944–1978) was a nightclub in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The Latin Casino was originally established at 1545 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia.

It was one of the first nightclubs in the United States to feature Latin American music. The venue later moved to 1708 Chestnut Street, and then to its final location at 2006 Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill.

The club was owned by Jack Weiler (1916–2006). He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in Camden, New Jersey. His father was a successful businessman who owned a number of properties in South Jersey. Jack Weiler attended Haddon Heights High School and graduated from Rutgers University.

He served in the United States Army during World War II. After the war, he returned to Rutgers and graduated with a degree in business administration.

The Latin Casino closed its doors in 1978 after 34 years in business. Jack Weiler died in 2006 at the age of 89.
