Who Owns Double Eagle Casino?

In 2008, the Double Eagle Hotel and Casino in Cripple Creek, Colorado, was purchased by Triple Crown Casinos, Inc. from Macau-based PBL Entertainment for $32 million.

PBL had owned the property since 2003. The hotel and casino, which first opened in 1994, underwent a $6 million renovation in 2006.

The Double Eagle Hotel and Casino is located in the historic mining town of Cripple Creek, Colorado. The town is nestled in the mountains west of Colorado Springs at an elevation of 9,494 feet. Cripple Creek was founded in 1891 after gold was discovered in nearby streams.

At its peak, the town had a population of over 20,000 people. Today, Cripple Creek is home to approximately 1,200 residents.
