In terms of funding, Galfond initially invested his own money into the site’s development. However, in 2018, he announced that he had secured additional funding from a group of high-stakes poker players including Jason Koon, Dan Smith, and Brian Rast.

Despite this additional funding, Galfond remains the majority owner of Run It Once Poker and continues to oversee its operations.
