Who Won the Most World Series of Poker?

The World Series of Poker is an annual event that dates back to 1970. In the early years, only a handful of the best players in the world would compete for the title.

But as poker became more popular, the field grew to include hundreds, and then thousands, of players from all over the globe.

The WSOP is now widely considered to be the most prestigious poker tournament in the world. And with a first-place prize that often exceeds $10 million, it’s no wonder that so many people are eager to take their shot at winning it all.

But with such a large and diverse field, who has the best chance of actually taking down the WSOP? Let’s take a look at some of the most successful players in history to see who has the most WSOP wins under their belt.

PRO TIP:The most World Series of Poker Championships ever won by one player is 14, which is a record held by professional poker player Phil Helmuth. He has won over $20 million in prize money from the WSOP alone.

To date, there have been four players who have won three or more WSOP Main Event titles: Johnny Chan, Doyle Brunson, Stu Ungar, and Phil Hellmuth. Of these four legends, Chan has the most WSOP bracelets overall with 10.

But when it comes to Main Event wins, Brunson and Ungar are tied for the lead with two apiece.

As for Hellmuth, he currently holds the record for most WSOP bracelets with 15. But surprisingly, he’s only won the Main Event once (in 1989).

So while he may be the most decorated player in WSOP history, he’s not necessarily the one with the best chance of winning it all in any given year.

When it comes to overall success at the WSOP, there’s no doubt that Johnny Chan is one of the greatest players of all time. But with Doyle Brunson and Stu Ungar both tied for the most Main Event wins, it’s hard to say who is really “the best” when it comes to this prestigious tournament.
