Why Does the Jeep Grill Have 7 Slots?

Few car features are as iconic as the Jeep grille. That seven-slot grille is recognized around the world, and it’s been a part of Jeep’s DNA since the very first model rolled off the assembly line. But why seven slots? Why not six or eight?
