But the most likely explanation is much more mundane. It’s simply a coincidence.

The odds of any particular number coming up on a roulette wheel are 1 in 37 (or 1 in 38 if you’re playing American roulette with two zeros). So it’s not surprising that, over time, the numbers would add up to 666.

Of course, some people will believe what they want to believe. And for them, the roulette wheel will always be associated with the devil.
