How Many Spell Slots Does a Wizard Have?

A wizard has a spellbook containing all the spells they know, and they can prepare a number of those spells to cast each day. The number of spells a wizard can prepare is determined by their level; higher-level wizards can prepare more spells.

In addition, each wizard has a number of bonus spell slots, which they can use to cast spells they know without preparing them in advance. The number of bonus spell slots a wizard has is determined by their Intelligence score.

At first level, a wizard can prepare four 0-level spells and two 1st-level spells. They also have two bonus spell slots.

As they increase in level, they can prepare more spells, as well as gaining additional bonus spell slots.
