How Do You Calculate Spell Slots in Artificer 5e?

In 5e, there are three main ways to calculate your spell slots. The first is to use the Proficiency Bonus, and the second is to use your Spellcasting Ability Modifier.

The third way is to use a combination of the two.

The Proficiency Bonus is a bonus that is added to your attack roll and damage roll when you cast a spell. It is calculated by adding your proficiency bonus to your spellcasting ability modifier.

For example, if you have a +2 proficiency bonus and a +3 spellcasting ability modifier, your total bonus would be +5.

The Spellcasting Ability Modifier is a bonus that is added to your spell save DC and attack rolls when you cast a spell. It is calculated by adding your spellcasting ability modifier to your proficiency bonus.

For example, if you have a +2 spellcasting ability modifier and a +3 proficiency bonus, your total bonus would be +5.

The third way to calculate your spell slots is to use a combination of the two. To do this, add half of your proficiency bonus to your spellcasting ability modifier.

For example, if you have a +2 proficiency bonus and a +3 spellcasting ability modifier, your total would be +4.5.
