Does North Carolina Have Casino?

No, North Carolina does not currently have any casinos. The state has a long history of gambling prohibition, with the first lAWS against gambling enacted in 1802. While there have been numerous attempts to legalize various forms of gambling in North Carolina over the years, all have failed. The most recent effort was in 2015, when a bill to allow casino gambling was introduced in the state legislature.

PRO TIP:North Carolina does not have any commercial casinos, but it does have 2 Tribal Casinos, the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and the Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel. Both casinos offer a wide variety of slots, table games, and other gaming options.

However, the bill did not make it to a vote and died in committee. There is currently no legislation pending that would allow casinos in North Carolina.
