How Do I Get More Bag Slots in Gw2?

Inventory management is always a tricky thing in MMOs. You want to have enough space to carry all the crafting materials, quest items, and weapons and armor you need, but you don’t want to have so much space that your screen is cluttered with a million different icons.

Guild Wars 2 has a fairly generous default storage system, giving you access to your personal bank, a shared guild bank, and several other storage options, but there are always going to be players who want more. So… how do you get more bag slots in Guild Wars 2?.

The first thing you need to know is that there are two types of inventory in GW2: your character inventory and your material storage. Your character inventory is what you see on your screen when you hit “I” – it’s where all your weapons, armor, trinkets, and consumables are stored.

Your material storage, on the other hand, is an off-screen repository for all the crafting materials you’ve gathered. By default, you have 16 slots in your character inventory and 400 slots in your material storage.

If you find yourself running out of space in your character inventory, the first thing you should do is check your material storage. Chances are good that you’re carrying around a lot of crafting materials that you don’t need at the moment.

You can free up some space by deposit those materials into your bank or guild bank.

If you’ve already emptied out your material storage and you’re still running out of space, then it’s time to start buying additional bag slots. You can do this by talking to any banker NPC in the game – they’re the ones with the green dollar signs over their heads.

Each additional bag slot costs two gold, and you can buy up to four additional bag slots (for a total of 20 slots) per character.

Once you’ve reached the maximum of 20 bag slots per character, there are still a few other options available for increasing your storage space. You can purchase additional shared bank slots from the Gem Store – these cost 125 gems for 5 slots or 300 gems for 15 slots.

You can also purchase an expansion to your personal bank for 250 gems, which will give you an extra page of storage (with 24 slots per page). Finally, if you have a guild bank, talk to your guild leader about purchasing additional storage space for the guild – this costs gold, but it doesn’t come out of your personal funds.

No matter how much storage space you have, there will always be something else that you want to pick up or craft. That’s just the way MMOs work. But by following the tips above, you can make sure that you have enough space to keep everything that you need… and then some!.
