In the popular MMORPG Guild Wars 2, one of the things that players can do is increase their infusion slots. Infusions are items that can be placed in these slots in order to give the player additional stat boosts.
While the base game comes with a few infusion slots, players can purchase more through the use of gems.

There are two types of infusion slots: major and minor. Major infusion slots provide a larger stat boost than minor infusion slots, but they are also more expensive to purchase.
In order to purchase an infusion slot, players must first have a certain amount of free space in their inventory. The number of available infusion slots is also dependent on the player’s level.
Once the player has enough free space and meets the level requirement, they can then head to the Gem Store and purchase an Infusion Slot Expansion for 500 gems. This will add an additional infusion slot of the same type that the player already has.
For example, if the player only has minor infusion slots, they will be able to purchase a minor infusion slot expansion.
Players can have up to four major infusion slots and eight minor infusion slots. These limits can be increased by purchasing additional Infusion Slot Expansions from the Gem Store or by using certain ascended gear.
Ascended gear comes with built-in Infusion Slot Expansions that cannot be removed or replaced.
Once the player has purchased or acquired additional Infusion Slot Expansions, they can then begin to place infusions into those slots. To do this, the player must first have an open world map active and then click on the “Infuse” button located at the bottom left corner of their screen.
A menu will then appear with all of the different types of infusions that the player can use.
The different types of infusions offer different stat boosts. For example, some infusions will increase power while others will increase precision.
There is also a chance for an infusion to fail when it is first placed into an infused slot. If this happens, the item will be destroyed and the player will need to obtain another one if they want to try again.
Once an infusion is successfully placed into an infused slot, it cannot be removed except by using a Removal Kit which can be purchased from vendors or acquired through crafting.Players should carefully consider which infusions they want to use as they cannot be replaced once they have been used.
