How Do You Deal Poker in Texas Holdem?

In Texas Holdem, there are four main ways to deal poker. The first way is to deal the cards one at a time clockwise around the table, starting with the player to the dealer’s left. The second way is to deal the cards two at a time clockwise around the table, starting with the player to the dealer’s left. The third way is to deal the cards three at a time clockwise around the table, starting with the player to the dealer’s left.

The fourth and final way is to deal all of the cards out at once clockwise around the table, starting with the player to the dealer’s left. No matter which way you choose to deal poker in Texas Holdem, the basic rules remain the same.

The most important thing to remember when dealing poker in Texas Holdem is that the two players to the left of the dealer are considered the “blinds”. The player directly to the left of the dealer is considered the small blind, and the player two seats to the left of the dealer is considered the big blind.

The small blind is usually half of what the big blind is (for example, if the big blind is $10, then the small blind would be $5). Before any cards are dealt, each player must put their respective blind into the pot.

Once all of theblinds have been put into play, then each player will be dealt two cards face down. These are known as your “hole cards” and only you can look at them. Once all players have received their hole cards, then it is time for betting to begin.

Betting will start withthe player totheleftofthebigblindandwillcontinueclockwisearoundthetableuntilitreachesthebigblindagain. Eachplayerhastheoptiontofold(giveup),call(matchthebet),orraisethebet.

Theseareknownastheflopcardsandtheycanbeusedbyanyplayerstillintheroundofplaytocompletetheirhandoffivecards(twoholecards+threepubliccards=fivecards).

Betting will begin again withthefirstactiveplayerleftofthedealer(theoneclosesttothedealerbutton)andwillcontinueclockwisearoundthetableuntilallbetshavebeenmatchedoruntilthereisonlyoneremainingplayerinthehand(atwhichpointthatsingleplayertakesallofthepot!).Ifmorethanoneplayerremainsaftertheflopbettingroundhasbeencompleted,thenanothercardwillbedealtface-uptothecenterofthetable–knownastheturncard–followedbyanotherroundofbettingstartingwiththefirstactiveplayertoleftofthedealerbuttonagainandcontinuingclockwisearoundthetablejustasbefore.
