How Do You Get Extra Accessory Slots in Terraria?

Extra accessory slots are available through the use of accessories and/or certain items. When an accessory is placed in an accessory slot, it grants the player a certain buff or effect.

There are a total of 14 possible accessory slots in Terraria, with four more that can be unlocked through the use of the Vanity Mirror item.

The first four accessory slots are available from the start of the game. These include the Helmet, Shirt, Pants, and Accessory slots.

The next four slots (Shoes, Cape, Shield, and Ring) are unlocked once the player has reached a certain point in their world’s progression. The final six accessory slots (Amulet, Belt, Quiver, Ring 2, Third Accessory Slot, and Fourth Accessory Slot) are only available after defeating one or more of the game’s bosses.

Each world will have different conditions for unlocking these extra accessory slots. For example, in order to unlock the shoes slot in a Hardmode world, the player must first defeat at least one of that world’s mechanical bosses.

In order to unlock the Third and Fourth Accessory Slots, the player must defeat all three mechanical bosses in Hardmode.

Once unlocked, these extra accessory slots can be used to further customize the player’s character. They provide additional space for buffs and effects, and can even be used to access new gameplay mechanics.

For example, by wearing both a Band of Regeneration and a Hermes Boots in their accessories slots, the player can gain the ability to fly indefinitely.

With so many different ways to utilize them, extra accessory slots are a welcome addition to any player’s arsenal. So if you’re looking to get that edge in your game world, be sure to keep an eye out for how you can unlock those extra accessory slots.
