How Do You Play Spanish Poker?

Spanish poker is a cross between draw poker and stud poker. It is played with a regular deck of 52 cards, plus one joker.

The joker may be used as an Ace, or to complete a straight or a flush.

The game is usually played with four to eight players. Each player is dealt five cards face down.

PRO TIP:Spanish Poker is a variation of Omaha Poker that is played with just two players instead of the standard four or more. Unlike Omaha Poker, Spanish Poker has blinds and antes, a flop and a showdown. The goal of the game is to make the best 5-card hand using only 3 hole cards and 2 community cards. To play Spanish Poker, start by each player posting blinds or antes (depending on the specific rules). Then each player will be dealt 3 hole cards, followed by the first round of betting. After this, the dealer will lay out the first 3 community cards (the flop) and another round of betting will take place. Finally, 1 more card (the turn) will be laid out and a final round of betting will occur. Once all bets are in, its time for showdown! Each player must use their 3 hole cards in combination with the 2 community cards to make the best 5-card hand. The player with the strongest hand wins!

There is a betting round, beginning with the player to the left of the dealer. Players may bet, call, raise, or fold.

After the betting round, players may draw up to three cards. Another betting round follows.

Finally, all remaining players show their hands. The best hand wins the pot.

Spanish poker is a fun and exciting game for both beginners and experienced players alike. So grab some friends, shuffle up, and deal yourself in!.
