Before we get started, it’s important to note that you can only unlock Normal Raids if you have a Full Party of eight players. If you don’t have a full party, you won’t be able to access the Normal Raids.
With that out of the way, let’s get started.
The first thing you need to do is head to The Lost City of Amdapor. This is located in Eastern La Noscea, and is the starting location for the quest “Into the Heart of Darkness”.
Once you’re in Amdapor, speak with Tataru and she’ll send you on your way.
From there, make your way to the Amdapor Keep Dungeon. This is located in Central Thanalan, and is where you’ll find the entrance to the Normal Raid instance. Once you’re inside, defeat the boss and then speak with Tataru again.
PRO TIP:If you are looking to unlock Normal Raids in Duty Roulette, you will need to complete all of the 8-man raids in the game. This includes Alexander: The Creator (Savage) and Alexander: Midas (Savage). Once these have been cleared, you will be able to select Normal Raids in Duty Roulette.
She’ll give you the key item “Raiders’ Codex”. This item is necessary for unlocking Normal Raids.
With the Raiders’ Codex in hand, return to Amdapor and speak with Tataru once more. She’ll send you to talk to Urianger in Ul’dah.
Urianger is located in The Lavender Beds, and he’ll give you further instructions on how to proceed.
Make your way to Halatali, which is located in Western Thanalan. This is where you’ll find the entrance to another dungeon called “The Vault”.
Inside, defeat the boss and then speak with Tataru yet again. She’ll give you another key item called “The Coffer of Promise”.
Take The Coffer of Promise back to Ul’dah and give it to Urianger. He’ll then give you access to three different Normal Raid instances: The Howling Eye, The Navel, and The Bowl of Embers (Hard). You can now queue up for these raids via Duty Roulette: NormalRaids!
So there you have it! That’s how you unlock access to Normal Raids in Final Fantasy XIV. Just follow the steps above and you’ll be ready to take on some of the game’s toughest challenges with your friends!.
