Is BlackJack SpongeBob’s Brother?

Whether or not BlackJack is SpongeBob’s brother is a matter of some debate among fans of the popular Nickelodeon cartoon series. There are a few key pieces of evidence that seem to suggest they are related, but ultimately it is up to the viewer to decide for themselves.

The first and most obvious bit of evidence is their shared last name: SquarePants. It’s a pretty common surname in SpongeBob’s world, but the fact that they both have it certainly seems like more than just a coincidence.

Secondly, BlackJack looks an awful lot like SpongeBob. They both have the same big eyes, bulbous nose, and wide mouth.

They also both wear the same style of clothing (though BlackJack’s is usually dirty and torn).

Finally, there are a few moments in the show where BlackJack and SpongeBob interact in ways that suggest they know each other pretty well. In one episode, SpongeBob even refers to BlackJack as his “brother from another mother.”

So what does all this mean? Is BlackJack really SpongeBob’s brother? Or are they just two random characters with some similarities? Again, it’s up to the viewer to decide.
